Maybe because Johnny has worked almost every New Years since we've met, maybe because it reminds me of how fast the time goes by, maybe it's because I think it's overrated cause everyone stays up till midnight and yells "Happy New Year" and then thats it it's over, (I mean listen to the New Years Eve music it's so depressing)maybe it's cause I think of a good year ending instead of a good one starting.
I don't exactly know the reason but I don't enjoy this "holiday" at all.
I know this is a lame post and it's pessimistic but it is what it is.
I am going to work on an attitude adjustment and try and enjoy myself tonight and have fun. I should consider it a pre New Years resolution and I will have THE BEST TIME!!!!

I hope you ended up having a good night. I remember New Year's Eve being fun when I was young. I think it just gets more horrid as we get married and have kids. Many parts of life get more exciting as you have a family, but New Year's Eve certainly isn't one of them. And having your husband work on New Year's Eve every year? That IS a bummer. Hopefully this year will be even better than last!
So.....take the depressing music off! I actually agree...the music makes me tired!! Maybe we should start spending this holiday together...husbandless and all! Ashton called me at exactly one minute before the new year...right as they were getting another call. That was my excitement for the night. Are you going to Bunco!?
I agree...I haven't stayed up until midnight since we have been married. We should have celebrated together so Lina and Caden could have shared a midnight smooch!
