BIG GIRL!!!
So when we went through this with Isabela I prepped her and explained to her that the lady was going to mark her ears and go 1 2 3 BANG and it would hurt and she would cry but just for a little bit. It was up to her if she wanted them that bad or not. For those of you that know Isabela you will believe me when I say she said "OK I dont care if it hurts I want to have prettys in my ears like Mommy. 1/2 hour later done. Barely a tear." (She is well prepped for the pain of hair being done and high heels)
Now Angelina is a totally different story. She is MY BABY!! If you act like someone is knocking on the door she will jump into your arms. (NOT KIDDING) She is scared of almost everything and is my crier. Doctors visits take 4 nurses (Also NOT KIDDING).
SOOOOOO.....
My mom and I took Isabela into Claires to buy new earings and to all of our surprise she said "I want to get my ears pierced like Bela". My mom and I looked at eachother and realised it was a little sudden but definetly an opportunity that might NEVER come again so we went with it. AS you can see in the pictures Isabela is quite proud of her sister and insisted that she be the one to hold her hand. It was so cute. Isabela was coaching her by saying "Its ok Sissy I am right here and so is doggie, blanky and baba". That is our standard traveling entourage of furry friends that my children cant seem to live without. They usually are just for bed and car rides but this was an exception so they came in with us. :)
She did really good and we were very proud of her. After she was done I told her she could pick out 1 thing from the store that she wanted. As you can see by the pictures she ended up with 5 different things and ofcourse thats what she got. (I am such a pushover). The first thing Angelina said was I am going to show daddy my pretty earings on our date. (johnny has been working the past 3 days and he will find out by this blog that he has a date with a cute blonde tomorrow).
Anyway sorry for such a long post. Such a proud Mama.
CONGRATULATIONS LINA BEAR!!!!

OHHHH TO BE YOUNG AGAIN!!
Johnny was planting some stuff (I say stuff because i tune out when it comes to yard work..) in the backyard and he came inside for a couple of minutes and told the girls "you can play with the water. Daddy will be right back" WELL this is what we found when we went back outside.
It was at that moment when I thought to myself. Do I freak out and get them clean ASAP or do i try and remember what it was like to be that age. Needless to say i chose to let them be the kids they should and found myself laughing at them and thinking Gosh I wish I could go in there and play with them it looks so fun. Why are adults so inhibited? Why do we lose that childhood innocence that is so sweet and refreshing that lets us be our complete selves without caring about the outcome? I have to say one of the most surprising pleasures of being a mom has to be the constant reminder of how to enjoy life and make the most of it. They had a blast and they played in that mud pile for hours. I am so grateful to them for their sweet presence in our home and the joy they bring into it.
We finally got them all bathed up and rewarded them for a hard day of play with sundaes.
THANKS BABE!!!
Johnny came home yesterday and brought me flowers for no reason. Those are the best kind!! Not only that but he also did a million things around the house and cooked supper for everyone. (which by the way was SO YUMMY). All this after working a 24 hour shift. I just wanted to say thanks and let him know how much that "little break" was appreciated and how much I love him for still (after 8 years) being so thoughtful and sweet.

SUMMER FUN
We went to Disneyland for the first time with the girls and it was a truly "magical experience".They still can't stop talking about it. It is so wonderful to see the joy in their eyes. Many times Johnny and I caught ourselves in a giggle over just their facial expressions as they were trying to take it all in.
Next we went to Lake Powell with the Frehner family. They are such a great group of people and truly made us feel like part of the family. We had a great time and couldn't have asked for anything to go any better.
Then we went to Toronto Canada to visit my side of the family. We stayed in a cottage in the mountains and the scenery was breathtaking. It was great to spend a week with my family. All of the kids had such a great time together. It was very hard for me to have to say goodbye once again but I am grateful at the time we got to spend together.
